G-MAP

GLOBAL MUTATIONS ANALYSIS & PERSPECTIVE

G-MAP is a think-tank devoted to the 21st mutations' trends, the great dynamics swirling through the globalisation vortex and changing dramatically the world and human societies.

Early on, the International Focus experts understood, whatever issue they would address, they could not possibly avoid referring to the contemporary globalisation, and therefore to the great dynamics animating it, defined as the 21rst mutations' trends:

  1. The climate change and the environmental issues, including energy and raw materials issues;
  2. The new economic rules and the new map of the geopolitical balances as a result of globalisation;
  3. The scientific and technological innovations and revolutions;
  4. The societal impacts and reactions.

As a result of this broad, global context, a need was born for a multidisciplinary think-matrix, a cross approach to achieve analytic syntheses and foresights. G-MAP was founded to respond to that need. Therefore, all the further analyses would result from the perspectives provided by the think-tank: G-MAP, an acronym for Global Mutations Analysis & Perspective.

Addressing the issues globally, G-MAP fills an important gap. Indeed, in the USA as well as in Europe or elsewhere in the world, 63% of the think-tanks are devoted to economics, political sciences, international relations and defence. The other 37% are devoted, in descending order, to social sciences (12,8%), education (5,5%), environment (5,5%), energy (5%), health (4,7%), and human rights (3%).

But, till now, no think-tank has ever addressed to the whole picture of mutations' issues !

In order to reinforce the G-MAP efficiency, International Focus endowed the research group with the information analysis system called 'Globe Expert'. It is now opened to any person, organization or company, which needs helpful markers and tools in decision-making process in an ever-changing world.

G-MAP (with International Focus) is currently developing new markers and tools.

Since September 2008, G-MAP became an independent body as a non-profit organisation governed by Swiss law and headquartered in Geneva.
